HIAS provides legal advice and representation to low income immigrants who would suffer significant physical harm if they were to return to their countries of origin, and who reside in Washington, DC; Maryland; and Virginia. HIAS attorneys represent individuals before USCIS, the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and in Montgomery County (Maryland) Circuit Court, and provides these services in a wide range of humanitarian- and family-based immigration cases to best help the client achieve their goal of finding safety.
